Grab your guitar and get on down to the Hideout in May for some trivia about country, western, and folk music Chicago style. Join Paul and special guest, journalist and author Mark Guarino, for three rounds of trivia inspired by his new book Country and Midwestern: Chicago in the History of Country Music and the Folk Revival. With live tunes by Lily Emerson and Charlie Malave. All in support of BandWith Chicago.
Each event consists of three rounds of trivia. Each round reflects a particular theme and is followed by a special guest. Through conversation or performance, guests respond to the round’s theme.
Participants can play in teams of up to six. Prizes are awarded to the teams finishing third, second, and first.
All events in the series are at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia. There is a sliding scale admission of $10-25 with ticket sales supporting the mutual aid organization selected for that month.
