We’ve got an action packed week ahead of us so here’s what’s happening…
Tonight one of our favorite guitarists in the city Bill MacKay will play a solo acoustic happy hour set in the front bar or possibly on the front porch if we can talk him into it.
Later tonight The Dirt Daubers are back in town singing a loud-and-proud eclectic mix of Appalachian, ragtime, hot jazz standards, and original music. They’ll be joined by the always smoking’ Lawrence Peters Outfit along with Angela James getting things started at 10pm.
Saturday night we have another Secret History of Chicago Music show presented by the Chicago Reader & Galactic Zoo. This month they present synth extraordinaire Bil Vermette who wrecked people’s minds during Psych Fest this past January. He”l be joined by Chandeliers who have a bunch of new tunes and Mr. 666 gets the madness started at 9pm.
Monday has Robbie Fulks performing with The Pussycat Trio.
Tuesday we’ve got a fantastic co-headline bill with the always stunning Dark Dark Dark and Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside also returns after her stunning performace here last August hot off the trails of her performance on Letterman. Pillars & Tongues open things up at 9pm.
Wednesday the Immediate Sound Series presents Longberg-Holm/Reid Duo and Mythic Birds with DJ sets by Jim Dorling.
Finally, a quick heads up for all you actors out there.
