Let’s get into this week!
Tonight we have Veggie Bingo from 5:30 to 8:00.  It is gorgeous out so come and sit out in front with a frosty beer and win some great prizes from Irv and Shelly’s Fresh PicksDill Pickle Co-op, Central Pickling and more!  Hot dogs donated by Hot Doug’s will be coming off the grill!
Later, Immediate Sound Series presents Rempis/Abrams/Ra with Dave Rempis on saxophones, JoshuaAbrams on bass and Avreeayl Ra on percussion.  Jon Krohn will be DJing the hits in between the two sets.
Thursday, we have Spider Bags.  Spider Bags music manages to glide along the razor’s edge, and true to an actual acid trip, there are moments of utter terror alongside unfettered joy.  Recently giving a great review byPitchfork this is going to be a rocking weird one.  Flesh Panthers and Life Partner open.
Friday,  we kick off the weekend with some laughs from the sketch comedy troupe Astronaut Theatre.  Astronaut Theatre prides themselves on finding new, different and often times bizarre angles through which to look at the world, each other, and of course, you, the audience.
Later, we have a dreamy bill with The Singleman AffairAngela James and Quarter Mile Thunder.  These three acts successfully blend indie rock, psych, country and folk music in unique ways.  Should be a beautiful night of great alt-country acts that were the foundation for the Hideout.
Saturday, we are closed for a private event but open up again at 11pm for a rollicking dance party with Velcro Lewis Group DJs.  The boys for VLG will be playing a solid mix of soul and funk to get you stepping!
Sunday we are closed.
Monday we have DAMA/LIBRA DAMA/LIBRA is the enthralling new collaboration between two revered veterans of the national indie and avant rock scenes, Joel RL Phelps (formerly of underground rock legends, Silkworm, and currently working with his own band, The Downer Trio) and G. Stuart Dahlquist (formerly of doom metal progenitors, Burning Witch/SunnO))), and currently of Asva).  Master Component andSecretMeansOfEscape open.
Tuesday we have the power pop quintet Future Monarchs.  Joining in is Heavy Lights.  Heavy Lights, through the course of their songs, strategically add elements that keep our ears constantly on their toes: interesting melodies, big vocals that become dreamy when accompanied by compelling harmonies and synth, warm electric guitar tones which offer unexpected (and at times, heartbreaking) chord changes, anticipation-building rhythms, and riveting bass lines. These elements entice the ear, engage us.  Coins rounds out the bill.
See you soon!
