Hi Everyone,
We couldn’t be more excited to have so many amazing comedy shows here this week as a part of the the TBS Just For Laughs Fest.
A bunch of them have sold out and/or are close to selling out so we highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
Thursday we start off with Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, which the NY Times this week called, “…the darkest comedy on television…” and we couldn’t agree more. It is going to be filled with loads of surprise guests and there’s less than 50 tickets left for this one…so don’t delay.
Later that evening is Conspiracy Theory Live with Jesse Ventura which has an amazing panel of surprise guests who will not disappoint and keep you laughing all night long.
Finally we finish out the evening with a sold out benefit show for 826 Chicago called, [REDACTED] present by us & The Onion. This stand-up showcase will feature [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and a special appearance by [REDACTED]. So that should be pretty awesome, right?
Friday we start out with the highly anticipated and sold out Chicago debut of The Delocated Witness Protection Program Variety Show.
The 9pm show is a rare intimate performance by Chicago’s very own Matt Braunger who is back home for the festival and the always stellar James Fritz getting things started.
We’ll close out the night with a the always hysterical Natasha Leggero who will be warming up for her show with Sarah Silverman at The Chicago Theater the following night. Tickets are moving swiftly for this show as well so don’t wait on it!
Saturday we kick things off with a The W. Kamau Bell Curve where he will try to end racism in one hour! From all the pre-productions notes and call sheets this one sounds like it’s going to be a blast to say the least. We are running a special deal for this show, and that is, if you bring a friend of a different ethnicity one of you gets in for FREE!
Easily one of the best things we saw at SXSW this year was the first ever Pete Holmes You Made It Weird Live! This one is almost sold out so don’t delay on snagging some tickets before it’s too late.
Finally we finish out the fest with the one and only Brody Stevens best known from his role in The Hangover. He unfortunately had to bail last year from his show here, so we couldn’t be more excited to finally have him grace the stage.
Sunday we get back to the basics and it’s time for our monthly local comedy series, Kind Of Blue. The crew has put together a stellar lineup which includes, Junior Stopka, Chad Briggs, Liza Treyger, Joe McAdam, Nick Rouley, and will be hosted by Nate Simmons.
Monday after a week off Robbie Fulks is back and performing a duo set with Don Stiernberg.
Tuesday we’ve got an early show with Claire Zulkey presenting Funny Ha-Ha and later that evening a show being billed as, A Summer’s Guitars Quartet w/ Leroy Bach, Tyler Beach, Bill MacKay, and Sam Wagster.
See you soon,
The Hideout
