In the neighborhood

The craziness of the holidays is finally over, and now it’s time for … well … the craziness of January at the Hideout.
We have a newly arranged website — which you know, since you’re on it — and a brand-new blog, where lots of Hideout folks will be posting regular updates of all the goings on both at the bar and in the larger Hideout community.
That community’s pretty elastic, and expansive — and the blog will reflect that, encompassing everything from news of Tyler and Stephen‘s latest world domination tour to the busy days in the musical life of Lawrence Peters, to Andrea‘s latest foray into political portraiture to the oh-so-exciting news of a new Hideout baby. (Congratulations J.T. and Meli Z.!!!)
You don’t even have to work here to be part of the family. For example, did you know that our pal John Forbes, of Tijuana Hercules, has a radio show over on WRHC? (That’s Radio Harbor Country, as in Michigan, for you city folk.) It launched New Year’s Eve and airs every Friday, from noon to 2 p.m. (11-1 Chicago time), and you can lissen on the interweb — go here to get set up. (Bloodshot‘s Rob Miller has been dominating the airwaves across the lake with his own show for a while now.)
And, closer to home, sound lady Juliana is looking for a roommate. Says she:
“Looking for a cool, responsible, and financially stable roommate for a 3bdr/2bth condo in Humboldt Park located at Rockwell and Haddon. It’s on the top floor with tons of sunshine, a huge kitchen, a living room, dining room with a piano, and a laundry room. Bedroom for rent has it’s own bath and the 3rd room functions as a shared office space. Looking for a 6mo. or 12mo. lease. Rent including all utilities and internet is $715. Will need a one month security deposit. Contact julezarm [at] gmail.com .”
And, that seems like enough random business for now. More soon! Stay warm …
