Monday night Cajun and Zydeco dance at the Hideout with the Cajun Vagabonds

The Cajun Vagabonds are Chicago’s most celebrated Cajun and Zydeco band. For over 20 years the band of family and friends has been introducing Chicago and Midwest audiences to the dances and deep grooves of Southern Louisiana. The band is helmed by Dorian Gehring (of Cosmic Country) on the fiddle and accordion, and features the joyful vocals of Stewart Gehring (guitar) and Eli Leki (bass), who sing in both traditional Cajun French and English. The Vagabonds are rooted in the tradition of clearing all the chairs out of a room and getting you on the dance floor, no matter if you know how to 2-step or not. Having learned to play alongside the likes of celebrated Cajun musicians such as the Pine Leaf Boys, Feufollet, and many more, they now bring their own interpretation to the music, infusing it with blues, country, and a little rock-n-roll.
