Fundraising For

Illinois Coalition for Immigrant & Refugee Rights

ICIRR is a statewide coalition of over 120 members and partners whose mission is to promote the rights of immigrants and refugees to full and equal participation in our society. We organize at the intersection of immigrant justice and racial equity to push municipal, state, and federal governments to proactively defend and protect immigrant communities in Illinois and across the country – and to provide safety and economic and health justice for ALL, regardless of age, race, income, or immigration status.

Transformative Justice Law Project of Illinois

We prioritize the needs of transgender people because we believe that transphobia is inherent in almost all legal and social services available in the Chicago area and throughout Illinois, especially the criminal legal system itself. Gender self-determination necessarily includes access to and control over healthcare, holistic mental and emotional support, fashion and self-expression, gender-affirming housing, education, bathrooms, and social services, freedom from violence, harassment, and incarceration, and all the tools we need to be fabulous, empowered and safe in how we live in our genders.

Featuring

 Luna Blues Machine

Based out of Chicago, The Luna Blues Machine (LBM) fuses hip-hop, soul, Latin and folk music to create their own unique sound.  Led by the Cervantes sisters’ poetic lyrics and tight harmonies, LBM stands out as one of the most experimental acoustic music acts in Chicago.

The Crooked Mouth

Our sound weaves its way through different genres without fully making a home in any of them. We’ve been described as alt-country, alt-punk and cabaret. We all write songs and we all have our own way of coming at things, which lends itself to the sonic variety. It all comes together in the live shows. You should come and see us play.  No one can tell a story and captivate an audience better than our front man, Beau O’Reilly.

Kyra Leigh

(she/her) is active as an actor, composer and musician. She has music directed all over the Chicago area. She’s very passionate about LGBTQ+ visibility in music and theatre.

Escargatoire

Escargatoire is a musical collective of slow-moving humans: Emmy Bean, Ronnie Kuller, Julie Pomerleau, and Joey Spilberg. We found each other in the spring of 2016 playing music for Opera-Matic, and have been slowly accumulating momentum ever since. Snailing around the world for musical influences, we play traditional and original klezmer, Irish, and Middle Eastern tunes.
