Jontan:
The Yellow House introduces Chicago’s Jontan through twelve buoyant, richly arranged songs that move between folk rock, jazz, bossa nova, soul, and tropicália. For the album release, Jontan leads an expanded six-piece band, showcasing the music at its most exuberant and fully realized.
Talha Waqar:
A genre fluid vocalist from Rawalpindi-Islamabad, Talha Waqar blends jazz, soul, and South Asian classical influences into raw, contemporary Urdu-language songs. The entirety of his music is a reclamation, tracing solitude, intimacy, and existential drift, rooted firmly in the East.
No Lonesome:
No Lonesome is the DIY project of Chicago-based musician and producer, Jeb Backe. Their mixed-fidelity sound shows a forward-thinking ear while flexing a studied understanding of what has come before.
