This week at the H/O

Here we go–another week of stellar shows.

Friday brings another installment of the always fun Shame That Tune early in the evening, followed by Gypsyblood and Man/Miracle at 10 pm.
Saturday we are proud to host one of the Permanent Records 5th Year Celebration shows with Australia’s garage rockers Royal Headache, making a rare stateside appearance, along with another group from Down Under, the Bed Wettin’ Bad Boys. Daylight Robbery kicks things off at 9 pm.
The late-night dance party will be the Friends of East of Edens, since James and John had something come up at the last minute. But their subs, DJ’s MLE and Sweet Dee, will bring the soul and funk hits all night long for your dancing pleasure!
Sunday Tijuana Hercules presents: The Riff Raff Raffle with the Steve Rosen Orchestra.  The Chicago Reader did a great piece this week on John Forbes, who put together this amazing event. Check out his killer new music video here.
Monday Robbie Fulks and his friends will be performing ‘Gilded Palace of Sin’ by the Flying Burrito Brothers from top to bottom in memory of Gram Parsons!
Tuesday Chicago World Music Festival presents the Swedish “hiphop/swing band ” MOVITS! who have blown up after their appearance on The Colbert Report.
Wednesday The Immediate Sound Series and The Polish Cultural Institute of New York present: Mikrokolektyw followed by Artur Majewski.
