Presented monthly by the Blue Beginning chapter of Indivisible Chicago, Show Up Chicago is a combination community gathering, cocktail hour, and political panel show. It's a great chance to mingle with like-minded neighbors, hear the latest from political insiders, and gossip about the issues that concern us all.

This month: It's Nov or Never. If you're tired of scrolling social media and worrying about the midterm elections, we have the solution for you. Several solutions, in fact, all aimed at making sure you don’t wake up November 4 wishing you’d done more to stop this debacle.

As we’re realizing more and more, the Democratic Party’s approach to voter contact is broken. To fix it, our friends at Swing Left have launched an ambitious effort they call Ground Truth. In its first election cycle it has been a smashing success.

What’s different about Ground Truth? How does it work and why? What lessons does it teach for campaigning in general? And (maybe most important), how can you use it to help the good guys win in November?
