Flautist Sara Gossett, treated guitar/machines manipulator Plastic Crimewave create devotional sonic voyages and droney soundscapes with the occasional rhythmic pulse to conjure the kosmische vibe of 70s German seekers like Yatha Sidhra, Popul Vuh, Achim Reichel, and early Kraftwerk. The duo released their first album last year on the Uk Cardinal Fuzz label, featuring special guests like Jean-Herve Peron of legendary German collective Faust (who Spiral Galaxy was lucky enough to open for), Kawabata Makoto of Japanese psych-gods Acid Mothers Temple, Alisha Sufit of UK 70s eastern-folk band Magic Carpet, and guitar wunderkind Ryley Walker. Spiral Galaxy has also performed in the UK (tour including London and Scotland), Milan, Chicago Psych Fest, Milwaukee Psych Fest, The Feed Me Weird Things series in Iowa City.
