Ages 21 and up
Saturday, July 20, 2024
Show: 6pm // Doors: 5:30pm
Matthew Beveridge Bean Rizzo is  Horizon of Darkness.  HoD is place for 1285 poems that move from a “puppy’s silken paw” to the “rough grasp of flames” of WWE superstar Cody Rhodes.  It’s loud, it’s punishing.  It speaks to the demons we all do battle with.
This performance will be accompanied by Helen Money and Janet Beveridge Bean.
Alison Chesley is a Chicago based cellist and composer who performs under the name Helen Money. Classically trained, Alison has worked as a rock musician for most of her career, releasing 5 solo records and performing as a guest artist on many others, including those by Russian Circles, Bob Mould, Broken Social Scene, Anthrax, Mono, and others. Alison’s fifth solo album, “Atomic”, has been called “A perfect example of a universal story being told by a master of their craft..” (Louder Than War). Like much of her music, it explores themes of connection and loss, interweaving acoustic and affected sounds of the cello to stunning effect. Alison’s sixth record, Trace, a collaboration with producer and composer Will Thomas, is out now on Thrill Jockey Records.
Ex Iguana is a dynamic punk duo from Alamance County, North Carolina. Their songs are melodic fever dreams shrouded in boundless desire and dark undertones.
In Masks is a Chicago-based experimental duet formed in 2016. Courtney Mora and Jeff Goulet’s saturated and dissonant vocals permeate their composed, looped, hypnotic soundscape.
