Alewives, Max & The Fellow Travelers, Winefred RT

Winefred RT is the folk-rock project of Chicago-based artist Zoe Bockhorst. Though decidedly modern, Winefred RT draws heavily from the tradition of folk storytellers, deftly crafting scenes shaded with the perspective of city life. Her often lyrically dense compositions contain an element of “blink-and-you’ll-miss-it”; wry observations on soured relationships flash by like a bullet, leaving you with just enough time to catch your breath before she peels away another layer.
